Getting into the OSU Portland Center
When you arrive at the front door of the building you will need to present the digital pass to the intercom to get buzzed in.
Watch the video on this page to get a better idea of what this means.
Find us on the second floor in the Pioneer Room.
Transportation
- From the airport or Hotel Eastland, use the rail system (https://trimet.org/home/menu/) or rideshare
- We will organize transportation for the tour on September 18.
Parking at the Hotel Eastlund
If you will have a car and are staying at the hotel, the hotel parking is valet only. If you registered under our room block, you should get the $30 discounted rate.
Getting to the OSU Portland Center
If you’re driving to the OSU Portland Center there are pay to park garages.
- The SmartPark Garage at 818 SW 4th (SW 4th and SW Yamhill) is close and the Week Day All Day Rate is $10.
If you don’t have your car, from the Hotel Eastlund to the OSU Portland Center a great option is to take the TriMet Max Light Rail.
Here’s where to catch the Max from Hotel Eastlund:
Walk a tenth of a mile from the hotel to the Convention Center Max Station stop ID 8376 at NE MLK and NE 7th.
From here you can catch either of these trains:
- 8:02 am or 8:17 am Green Line to City Center/PSU (8 minute ride). Get off at SW 5th & SW Oak and walk .2 miles to the OSU Portland Center at 555 SW Morrison
- 8:05 am or 8:20 am Blue Line to Hillsboro (10 minute ride). Get off at Pioneer Square North MAX Station (SW Broadway and SW Morrison) and walk .2 miles to the OSU Portland Center at 555 SW Morrison.
The Red Line works too but timing isn’t as good.
You can take the Max Red Line from the airport to the Hotel Eastlund and/or to the OSU Portland Center. The Hotel will store your bags until check-in if needed.
The Max runs every 15 minutes. You can check the schedule on the TriMet website or download the app.
The fare is $2.80 each way. Pay by tapping the Hop reader at the Max Station (stop). You can pay with a credit card or download the TriMet app and use Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay.
Getting to/from Hot Mama Salsa and dinner locations
For folks that are not in their own vehicles (or catching a ride with someone who has space), we’ll organize into Uber groups to get to Hot Mama and back to the hotel and to/from dinner.
Hot Mama Salsa at 333 SW 2nd is 1.3 miles from OSU Portland Center and .9 miles from Hotel Eastlund
Por Qué No is at 4635 SE Hawthorne Blvd. 2 miles from Hotel Eastlund
Bhuna is at 704 NW 21st Avenue 2 miles from Hotel Eastlund
