Connecting, Strengthening and Scaling Food Supply Chains in the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Region

Through Montana’s contribution to the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center the state aims to expand training technical assistance and funding opportunities for agriculture businesses in the state. The state is led by a steering committee made up of Montana Department of Agriculture, Montana Farm Bureau, Montana Farmers Union, Montana State University, the Grow Montana Coalition, and three at-large members.

The objectives of this effort are:

  • Support technical assistance programs, curricula, and one-on-one business education
  • Investment in on farm and value added projects
  • Provide professional development for regional food system leaders and innovators
  • Coordinate strategic sharing of resources

This will support the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center by adding to the resources available in Montana and expanding the regional availability of agricultural products.
