Getting Confident with Institutional Markets Workshop

Are you a value-added food producer or farmer interested in selling to institutions (such as schools, hospitals, universities)? Do you have questions about how institutions can become a viable market channel for you?
Come learn about resources, tools, and business practices to help you be successful in these market spaces. We’ll walk through the fundamentals of these markets, where the entry points are if you’re just getting started, and pathways to grow your sales if you’re ready to scale. Experts will cover the necessary licensing, food safety and labeling requirements and in the afternoon we’ll divide into groups to discuss your technical needs to get you on a path to institutional sales and develop your business action plan.
This event is one of a series of workshops hosted by the Oregon Farm to Institution Collaborative over the next year. Future workshops will be offered in Eastern Oregon, Southern Oregon and the Central Coast. Please email Aliza McHugh, amchugh@hcwh.org to receive announcements about upcoming events and opportunities.
Register today! Space is limited for this workshop. Registration closes Friday October 18th, 2024. Scholarships to attend are available upon request in registration form.
