Value Added Producer Grant Workshop – Washington

Washington State Farm Service Agency and our partners at Rural Development will be hosting a webinar on the Value Added Producer Grant (VAPG) on March 5, 2025 at 10 a.m.
VAPG helps agricultural producers generate new products, create or expand marketing opportunities, and increase producer income. Grants are up to $75,000 for planning expenses and $250,000 for working capital.
This workshop provides an overview of the Value Added Producer Grant (VAPG) program. VAPGs may be used for feasibility studies or business plans and working capital, for processing, marketing, sales of value-added agricultural products. Learn about eligibility, grant application portal process and other requirements. The VAPG program provides opportunities to independent producers, farmer and rancher cooperatives, agricultural producer groups, and will support local and regional supply networks.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a moderated Q&A session with local program experts following the presentation.

Producers are reminded that all VAPG applications must be submitted online through the VAPG Application Portal. The portal vastly improves the user’s experience by hiding sections of the application that are not applicable to the user based on the type of grant being applied for. A user guide is available to assist producers with accessing and completing a VAPG application through the portal.
