Introduction to Carbon Credits

Please join us Thursday, May 23rd to learn about Carbon Credits on Agriculture Operations in Wyoming from Nicki Nimlos.

Nicki Nimlos is a PhD student in the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming. Her research involves assessing how grazing impacts soil carbon sequestration, and opportunities for ranchers to get paid for the soil carbon they capture.

Nicki consults with ranchers across Wyoming to determine whether participating in the carbon market aligns with their operations and goals. She’s also exploring the roles of female ranchers as environmental stewards to illustrate the importance of women in ranching and of ranching in general for land stewardship.
